Some of the Flowers...

That grow in my garden....I saved the prettiest for last....

My close, close Buddy, Paul Mansfield, whom I have known and loved for something like thirty (not unbroken) years, died peacefully yesterday afternoon in the Martlets hospice. I shall, like so many other people, especially his wife, Judy, miss Him and his Wit and his Humanity and his Stories, and his Irascibility, tremendously.
But life goes on....as these quiet photos, taken today in my garden, give testament. I have deliberately chosen not to include a picture of my son Michael. Today is not his day....it's for Paul.

When Iris Eyes are Smiling...

Michael is one of those 'latch-key' kids......

"Come on back to my place...my folks won't be home yet...."

"Come on in...."

....Oh, here's the 'iris' bit....taken for my friends Paul and Rob and Tristan and Lyndy, and my sister Josie...Love to you all....

Kisses from Lea and Michael, neither of whom were harmed in the making of this blog-post...

Global Warming Anyone?

As Snow settles on the ground for the first time in my 20 years here....

Michael's 4x4 can't take it...

And he sets out on foot to the village for his wine gums...

"How long do I have to stand here like this, Dad?"
